Morgan Advanced Materials (LSE: MGAM) is a UK-headquartered global manufacturer of specialized engineered products made from carbon, advanced ceramics and composites. It was the first European strategic partner for the graphene activities at the University of Manchester National Graphene Institute, Morgan being recognized by Manchester for having the product engineering and design expertise required to commercialize the materials developed at the NGI. After being educated as a chemical engineer, Richard Clark has been with Morgan for 30 years, developing and commercializing materials across the spectrum of Morgan’s portfolio, most recently focusing on materials related to energy. Richard was part of Morgan’s team engaged with the University of Cambridge developing electrolytically produced carbon nanomaterials and has continued his involvement in this field in collaboration with Morgan’s team at the Manchester NGI.

He research interest mainly focuses on Materials related to Energy, Carbon Nanotubes, Graphene.

Dr. Ram Gupta joined Pittsburg State University as an Assistant Professor in 2013. Before joining to Pittsburg State University, he worked as an Assistant Research Professor at Missouri State University, Springfield, MO then as a Senior Research Scientist at North Carolina A&T State University, Greensboro, NC. Dr. Gupta published over 160 peer-reviewed journal articles, made over 150 national/international/regional presentations, chaired many sessions at national/international meetings, and received over 1 million dollars for research and educational activities from external agencies such as NSF, DoE, KINBRE. He is serving as Associate Editor and editorial board member for various journals.

Dr. Gupta’s research focuses on green energy production and storage using conducting polymers and composites, nanomaterials, optoelectronics and photovoltaics devices, organic-inorganic hetero-junctions for sensors, nanomagnetism, bio-based polymers, bio-compatible nanofibers for tissue regeneration, scaffold and antibacterial applications, bio-degradable metallic implants.

Dr. Huang is the Chairman/CEO of AzTrong, a provider of graphene-based nano-composite products and solutions and an expert in Graphene and graphene commercialization in thermal management, Li-Ion battery & supercapacitor, graphene composites and other commercial / industrial applications. He began his career at IBM Watson Research, had 20+ years working at IBM, was a Vice President and played a key role to help IBM successfully transform into a global service company. While at IBM, he was in charge of e-commerce implementation, intellectual capital and Asset Management, solution offerings, etc. He is an experienced business transformation and innovation advisor/entrepreneur. He is also the Chairman of an IoT application solution company focusing on energy, fintech and healthcare industries and senior advisor to Ditthavong & Steiner, P.C., a leading US patent law firm. He is also an experienced entrepreneur in Silicon Valley, Singapore, and Taiwan as well as a VC investor. Dr. Huang has won several awards including IBM Corporate Excellence Award, Gold Medal of Giga Information Award, NASA LAUNCH Award – 2011 which awarded to Top 10 Energy Innovators by US Department of State, NASA, USAID, and NIKE. He received BS from National Taiwan Normal University, MS University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and Ph.D. in EECS from MIT.

"Mohsen Modarresi is assistant professor and faculty member at department of Physics, Ferdowsi University of Mashhad. He received his Ph.D. from Ferdowsi University of Mashhad. He completed postdoctoral work at Izmir Institute of Technology in 2016 on electronic correlation in graphene nano materials. The PEDOT morphology is the subject of study for his second postdoctoral at the Linkoping University in 2017.

His research focuses on the Physics of graphene and other 2D nano-structures beside the conducting polymers. Modarresi received thesis and publication awards from the Iran Nanotechnology Initiative Council"

Dr. Tugrul Cetinkaya obtained the PhD degree in Metallurgy and Materials Engineering Department from Sakarya University, Turkey, in 2015. He worked as a Postdoc Research Associate in National Graphene Institute at the University of Manchester between 2017 and 2018. He is currently an Assistant Professor in Engineering Faculty, Sakarya University, Turkey. He manages a national project on li-air flow batteries and an international project on carbon free cathode materials for li-air batteries under EIG Japan Concert consortium. He has more than 60 published peer-review journals regarding electrochemical energy storage such as li-air batteries, li-ion batteries and supercapacitors.

His research interests focus on development of novel nanocomposite electrodes using 2D materials, liquid and polymer electrolytes and scalable performance of nanocomposite electrodes for electrochemical energy storage devices.

Dr. (Ms) T.Theivasanthi of Kalasalingam University doing research in nanomaterials/nanotechnology; has 14 years of teaching experience; published many research articles/ books and h-index 9; life member of Indian Science Congress Association and Magnetics Society of India; serving as Editorial Board Member/ reviewer for some scientific journals; achieved many awards/ honours/ recognitions including - Madurai Women Achievers Award - 2013, Motivational Award - 2015 and 2015 Women’s Day Award of St.Annes College; achieved World Record in LIMCA Book of Records-2015 for nanotechnology invention “World’s first superparamagnetic plants materials” – named “Santhi Particles” and World Record in Limca Book of Records – 2016 for innovative products "The World’s lowest priced graphene" & "World’s Smallest Particles of Vegetables"; other innovative products- Superparamagnetic lead nanoparticles, semiconducting lead Nanoparticles, Low cost-mass production of graphene, agricultural nano fertilisers, vegetable powder for diabetes, plants materials for diabetes & psoriasis and nanoparticles for treatment of EBOLA, DENGUE, HIV & H1N1 virus infection. Govt. of India shows interests to develop her inventions for the benefits of public; she has been invited to deliver lectures (more than 90) in International / National scientific conferences, foreign countries (China, Malaysia & Sri Lanka) and renowned institutes like National Institute of Technology, Anna University, Central University of all over India; she delivered Motivational Lectures for women, students and staff of institutes / Multi-national corporate companies like Cognizant Technologies; Economic Times and Telegraph have published news about her research; Thanthi TV, All India Radio, Minnal FM (Malaysia) and Bernama TV (Malaysia) have broadcasted her interviews.
