Biography
Morgan Advanced Materials (LSE: MGAM) is a UK-headquartered global manufacturer of specialized engineered products made from carbon, advanced ceramics and composites. It was the first European strategic partner for the graphene activities at the University of Manchester National Graphene Institute, Morgan being recognized by Manchester for having the product engineering and design expertise required to commercialize the materials developed at the NGI. After being educated as a chemical engineer, Richard Clark has been with Morgan for 30 years, developing and commercializing materials across the spectrum of Morgan’s portfolio, most recently focusing on materials related to energy. Richard was part of Morgan’s team engaged with the University of Cambridge developing electrolytically produced carbon nanomaterials and has continued his involvement in this field in collaboration with Morgan’s team at the Manchester NGI.

Biography
Dr. Ram Gupta joined Pittsburg State University as an Assistant Professor in 2013. Before joining to Pittsburg State University, he worked as an Assistant Research Professor at Missouri State University, Springfield, MO then as a Senior Research Scientist at North Carolina A&T State University, Greensboro, NC. Dr. Gupta published over 160 peer-reviewed journal articles, made over 150 national/international/regional presentations, chaired many sessions at national/international meetings, and received over 1 million dollars for research and educational activities from external agencies such as NSF, DoE, KINBRE. He is serving as Associate Editor and editorial board member for various journals.
Research Interest
Dr. Gupta’s research focuses on green energy production and storage using conducting polymers and composites, nanomaterials, optoelectronics and photovoltaics devices, organic-inorganic hetero-junctions for sensors, nanomagnetism, bio-based polymers, bio-compatible nanofibers for tissue regeneration, scaffold and antibacterial applications, bio-degradable metallic implants.
Biography
Dr. Huang is the Chairman/CEO of AzTrong, a provider of graphene-based nano-composite products and solutions and an expert in Graphene and graphene commercialization in thermal management, Li-Ion battery & supercapacitor, graphene composites and other commercial / industrial applications. He began his career at IBM Watson Research, had 20+ years working at IBM, was a Vice President and played a key role to help IBM successfully transform into a global service company. While at IBM, he was in charge of e-commerce implementation, intellectual capital and Asset Management, solution offerings, etc. He is an experienced business transformation and innovation advisor/entrepreneur. He is also the Chairman of an IoT application solution company focusing on energy, fintech and healthcare industries and senior advisor to Ditthavong & Steiner, P.C., a leading US patent law firm. He is also an experienced entrepreneur in Silicon Valley, Singapore, and Taiwan as well as a VC investor. Dr. Huang has won several awards including IBM Corporate Excellence Award, Gold Medal of Giga Information Award, NASA LAUNCH Award – 2011 which awarded to Top 10 Energy Innovators by US Department of State, NASA, USAID, and NIKE. He received BS from National Taiwan Normal University, MS University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and Ph.D. in EECS from MIT.
